The articles, comments and opinions on this site are my own. They do not necessarily represent the views of any union, employer, public body, community organization, former workplace or other organization with which I have been associated.

Information, not advice

This site is intended to share news, commentary, public documents and general information. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical, employment or other professional advice. Laws, policies and individual circumstances can change. If a decision could affect your rights, job, health, money or legal position, speak with a qualified professional, your union or the responsible government office.

Links to laws, government pages, news reports and other websites are provided as a public reference. A link does not mean I endorse every statement, service or opinion on the other website. I cannot guarantee that an outside page will remain available, current or complete.

What this site collects

This website does not create visitor accounts and does not sell or share information about readers. Comments are turned off. If a contact or signup form is added later, this notice will be updated to say what it collects and where that information goes.

If you email me, your email provider and my email provider will process the message. I may keep correspondence as reasonably needed to reply, follow up on a correction or story, or maintain a record of our exchange. Please do not send confidential documents, personal health information or sensitive workplace information unless we have first agreed on a safe way to receive it.

Email editions

Posts are published on this website first, at least twice a week. There is no signup form on this site. If you email me and ask to be added to my list, I keep your address only to send the posts. I do not sell or share it, and I will take you off the list whenever you ask. If an email service is connected later, this notice will name it and explain how to unsubscribe.

Older posts may still link to Danny’s Substack archive, because that is where they first appeared. Substack has its own terms and privacy practices for anyone who visits or subscribes there.

Hosting and technical records

Like most websites, the hosting provider and security systems may automatically create limited technical logs, such as an internet address, browser type, date and time, requested page, and information used to prevent abuse or diagnose a problem. Those records are controlled by the relevant hosting or service provider.

This site loads its own fonts and images from its own server. It does not add advertising trackers.

Outside services and links

This site links to Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, government websites, news organizations, Danny’s Substack archive and other outside services. Those services may collect information when you visit them. Their own privacy policies and terms apply once you leave this site.

Accuracy and corrections

I make a reasonable effort to use reliable sources and keep information accurate. Errors can happen, and older material may no longer reflect current law or policy. If you see something that should be corrected or updated, please contact me.
